The Getting Started Project combines a welcome to the Facultad de Informática with guidance on key issues of university life and the assessment of horizontal competences.
For the first four days of their course (2 to 7 September), fresher students will complete a tutored project developing the horizontal competences of teamwork and oral communication skills. This educational activity is compulsory and will be assessed as part of the acquisition of horizontal competences which is a component of the degree course.
All fresher students shall assemble at the Assembly Hall (Building 1) on 2 September at 9 am.
NOTE 1: The first-term classes (Physical and Technological Foundations of Informatics, Logic, Discrete Mathematics I, Linear Algebra and Programming I) will start on 8 September as listed in the first-term timetable (in Spanish).
NOTE 2: The Getting Started Project is for fresher students only. Facultad de Informática students switching degree programmes are not obliged to participate. Students that have enrolled for subjects listed in Note 1 should bear in mind that classes will start on 8 September (other classes will start on 2 September).
