During the second cycle of the degree course, holders of any of the above degrees from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid shall take the difference between the 381 credits required for this degree programme and the credits that they have earned on their respective courses. Students who have earned over 225 credits shall all have to take 156 credits. In any case, students shall be obliged to take the core and compulsory subjects, and complete the respective 10% of free choice subjects. The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid shall establish the degree programme and workload for holders of the above degrees from other universities in view of the curriculum of the courses they have taken.

In conformity with the fourth directive of Royal Decree 1459/1990 of 26 October, the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid shall set the first-cycle subjects required in each case as further training for students that have taken first-cycle degrees other than the above to be admitted to the second cycle of the degree of Ingeniero1 in Computing.

Learning schedule

The degree programme is organized as annual and term subjects across five years.

The UPM has establisehd a set of requirements that partially order the subject schedule as of the first year.

In no case does a subject taught in the first term prevent another from being taken in the second term, that is, the requirements only apply to subjects from different years.

The credit transfers between subjects of the current degree programme (1983) and the proposed curriculum are also specified.

Minimum course duration

As set out by the degree schedule.

1 Licenciado and Ingeniero are two-cycle, five-year degree courses.
2 Ingeniero Técnico and Diplomado are one-cycle, three-year degree courses.
